A gallery of mixed emotions
A picture can in some contexts say at least as much about the photographer as about the subject. An artistic portrait is also a form of portrait of the photographer's inner self. Regardless, it would not be possible to create if there were not wonderful people to portray.
Black and gray portrait
When the world of art becomes part of the ordinary world
Created from a original painting (open source) and my original photo mix together.
Allegorical scene – from Dante's Inferno, artist Cyprian Kamil Norwid. Created sometime between 1850-1900.
Labyrinth
I just want to honour you for the person you are and feel a deep, affectionate desire for you, without expecting anything in return or requiring any commitment. But to be able to express that, our words and feelings must first pass through a labyrinth full of thorn bushes, so easy to get lost in, bleeding and crying. It is as if we have entered an eternal purgatory, to feel and see that our finest emotion creates torment in each other. It’s as though we haven’t understood that the labyrinth’s purpose is to bring balance and calm, not to confuse those who seek its centre.
If, for some unfathomable reason, there were any gods looking down into this labyrinth, they would say: “Now you guys have to get your shit together. Shape up!”
Guilt
Are all feelings of guilt always bad? Can feelings of guilt create something positive? Can feelings of guilt also bring excitement and pleasure? Is the feeling of guilt created by your own thoughts or it is by the judgment of others?
Is the guilt you feel before it becomes a guilt the worst guilt to feel, guilty in advance?
(I'm talking about guilt that can arise in ordinary life and not crime)
A thought about guilt that has been shared with me:
“Guilt arises in the Self when it fails to deliver on people’s expectations. Those expectations, in turn, arise from various sources; societal norms, religious preachings, individual preferences. The Self should ask itself: ”Do I feel guilt because I should och because I can’t live with myself otherwise?” The answer to this question will set the Self free“
Demands
We place so many demands on ourselves about how we should be. Demands that we cannot reach and that we do not talk about.
We can talk about feelings and diagnoses but not how to handle them in everyday life. We are afraid of insights because it can threaten everyday existence. Afraid of being judged and afraid of losing what we have and of course hurting others.
Erica Jong, author, expressed it all in a quote that can be seen as a metaphor for everyday life:
“Even if you loved your husband, it seemed impossible to avoid that day when fucking him became as boring as eating cheese spread (cheese on a tube). 😊
I was born with a broken heart.
I survived, obviously, but I always have feel a dark angel has followed me ever since, constantly reminding me that everything is impermanent.
Life has also taught me to have an open mind to everything.
However, there is not much that can be done about the broken soul…
Little things that bring great happiness
When I pull up the blinds in the morning and am greeted by beautiful flowers received from an amazing friend. Bonus if the sky is blue.

A friend who puts up with me being crazy sometimes
The beauty of hearing a woman tell in a foreign language what she sees when she stands by the sea on a summer day. Seagulls calling, the ocean waves gently crashing over her feet. I don't understand a word of the language, but I understand the feeling.
