We used to say that we must be able to distinguish between the artwork and the artist, when there was something problematic that the person did.

Now we ask ourselves whether the artwork has a person.

Remember AI art generation tools include, and are heavily trained on, the work of a vast, uncurated range of artists and painters, which inherently includes those considered problematic, controversial, or unethical.
